n CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services, 379-2303, will begin accepting regular applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program starting Monday. Residents who received an early application may apply sooner.

n LOWVILLE — A wine tasting to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Tug Hill Vineyards, 4051 Yancey Road. Admission is $7. Team Faith, a local team participating in Relay for Life, will donate proceeds from the tasting to the American Cancer Society.
