ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged Heather M. Kirby, 26, of 92 state Route 345, Potsdam, with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal trespass following an investigation into an incident that took place at 10:53 p.m. Oct. 27 at the AmVets post on Andrews Street. She was picked on on an arrest warrant at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday by Massena-based state police and turned over to village police. She was arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice Donald Lustyik of Norfolk.

Kirby reportedly threw a beer bottle that struck the bartender, bounced and then struck a female in the face. She also reportedly failed to comply with AmVets Commander Bud Byington’s orders to leave the post.

PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Jessica L. Cruse, 30, of 14 Howard St., Massena, with petit larceny at 2 p.m. Wednesday following an incident at Walmart.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Lashawn J. Whitfoeld, 40, of 48 Willow St., Apt. 5, Massena, on a bench warrant following a stop at 12:47 p.m. Wednesday on state Routre 37. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice James M. Crandall, paid an outstanding fine of $150 and was released.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Todd J. Beamis, 37, of 133 North Main St., Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday following an incident on Liberty Avenue.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Laura A. Benedict, 26, of Hogansburg for speed in zone at 3:40 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on East Hatfield Street.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jaylene A. Dow, 35, of County Route 14, Chase Mills, for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights following a traffic stop at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 37.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Shannon M. Harvey, 39, of Massena with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed Harvey for unsafe backing at 7:34 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Bayley Road.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jarred M. Bradish, 23, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 8:01 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Storm T. Adams, 20, of Cook Road, Akwesasne,for speed in zone at 10:36 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on state Route 37.
