Hubert E. Boulds


Hubert E. Boulds 89 of Nicholville NY passed away Tuesday November 20,2012 at the Massena Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Bristol CT. He was the son of the late Elvin B and Violet Canfield Boulds.

Hubert lived in Bristol Connecticut for three month until moving to Nicholville NY where he attended local schools. Hubert worked for Alcoa on the rigger gang until joining the Navy in 1944. He served during WWII in the Atlantic Theater serving on the Robert E. Perry DE132 where he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 21 times .He was honorably discharged in 1946.

After the war he returned home and went to work for his fathers business where he worked for 27 years. He was united in marriage to Joyce Parker in Gabriels NY in 1949. After working for his father he was elected Highway Superintendant town of Hopkinton until the time of his retirement in 1988. He also ran a propane business from his home from 1945 until 2002.

Hubert enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching TV and reading the Newspaper.

Burial will be at the Mound Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made in his name to the Potsdam Humane Society.
