Jesse R. Weaver, 23, of 7491 Cassi Circle, Harrisville, was charged Friday by state police with petit larceny in the alleged shoplifting of groceries on Nov. 1 at Hannaford Super Store, outer Arsenal Street.

The theft tab was set at about $400. He is ordered to appear in town of Watertown Court.

Police said a second arrest is anticipated.
