Watertown police were seeking leads Sunday morning about a hit-and-run motorist who left a pedestrian injured in the 200 block of State Street.

The victim of the 1:20 a.m. accident, Gregory G. Gleason, 32, of 135 Maywood Terrace, suffered a head injury and was taken by Guilfoyle Ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center. No information about his condition was disclosed.

Police had no description of the auto, but it is presumed to have front-end damage. Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 782-2233.

Mr. Gleason was crossing from the south side of State Street when he was struck by a westbound vehicle, apparently in the westbound lane, police said. “Pedestrian error” was listed as an accident factor.
