Alan G. Bishop, 34, of 190 Stone St., Apt. 2, who has been out of prison for a year, was under city police custody Sunday morning for his alleged failure to pay a $6 cab fare.
Police arrested Mr. Bishop at 12:50 a.m. at his apartment on a charge of theft of services on a complaint filed by Yellow Cab. He failed to pay for his ride from 136 Scio St. to his residence, police alleged.
Mr. Bishop is on parole following his Nov. 10, 2011 discharge from a state prison, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision website. He was sentenced in November 2007 in Jefferson County Court to five years in prison for attempted first-degree robbery.
