Hobart beats SUNY Potsdam to stay unbeaten

MASSENA — Ryan Michel and Frank Salituro each provided a goal and an assist as the unbeaten Hobart men’s hockey team defeated SUNY Potsdam, 3-1, in a nonconference game Sunday at the Massena Ice Arena.

Bobby Hannah provided three assists for the Statesmen (8-0-2). Martin Ausserhofer stopped 33 shots for his third win of the year.

Matt Thompson tied the game at 13 minutes, 1 second of the first period for the Bears (3-5). Shane Talarico made 35 saves.

n Jeffrey Menard powered the Trinity College men’s hockey team with two goals and two assists as it blanked SUNY Canton, 5-0, in a nonconference matchup in Hartford, Conn.

Jordan So dished out three assists for the Bantams (3-0-1). Kevin Green notched the shutout with 25 saves.

Michael Pittman made 33 saves for the Kangaroos (3-7).
