MASSENA – Mrs. Nancy R. Hazel, 79, of 2 Butler Ave, Massena, peacefully passed away Monday morning, November 26, 2012, with her loving family at her side.

Nancy was born September 9, 1933, in Massena, the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Greeta Flanders Robinson and was a graduate of Massena High School. On September 17, 1955, she married Donald G. Hazel at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Donald predeceased her on February 9, 2003.

Nancy worked in the accounts department with Bell Telephone Company in both Massena and Potsdam. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and truly enjoyed spending many summer with her family at their camp on the St. Lawrence River.

Nancy is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Janet Hazel of Massena; her grandsons, Jeffrey and Cathy Henry and Christopher and Paula Henry; 3 great grandchildren, Hannah, Coleton, and Crew; and her sister, Joyce Robinson of Massena.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ellen Hatch on April 18, 2012.

Calling hours and funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
