Watertown police arrested a city woman early Monday after she allegedly struck a man on the head several times with a full, unopened wine bottle.

The incident was the third in five months involving Trudi L. Harney, 44, and Benjamin M. Kilburn, 38, both of 520 Gotham St., in which police action was required.

Mr. Kilburn was treated at Samaritan Medical Center and released following the 12:20 a.m. domestic fight.

Ms. Harney was held for arraignment later in the day on charges of second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The glass bottle did not break, police said.

She was also arrested Aug. 15 on charges of unlawful imprisonment and harassment after police said she pinned Mr. Kilburn on the floor and struck him several times in the face. The charges were disposed of by her guilty plea to harassment, and she was assessed $200 in a fine and court fees, according to City Court.

Mr. Kilburn was charged June 28 with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation after he was accused of choking Ms. Harney. He also was allowed to plead guilty to harassment, and was fined $150, according to the court.

A city police mug shot taken early Monday shows Ms. Harney with a bruised eye and cut lip. Police said she was uncooperative and offered no explanation for her injuries.
