POTSDAM — A Brooklyn woman was charged with petit larceny after stealing clothing from Wal-Mart on Tuesday evening, state Police at Canton said.

Kasha C. Jackson, 23, placed socks and shirts worth $57.13 in her tote bag at the Route 11 retailer in the Town of Potsdam, troopers said Wednesday.

Ms. Jackson was issued an appearance ticket returnable at a later date.
