DEKALB —An Ogdensburg man faces assault charges following a Monday domestic incident in which he allegedly choked a woman and bit her face.

William T. Irvine, 33, of 711 Lafayette St., was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies said.

In addition to fighting with a woman at 335 Winter Road, Mr. Irvine also caused damaged to her property, deputies said.

The woman’s name was not released by deputies.

Mr. Irvine was arraigned in DeKalb Town Court and released under Probation Department supervision pending further court proceedings.
