UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Gavin J. Garry, 20, of Queensbury with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with insufficient tail lamps following a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday on Maple Street. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana during the traffic stop.



FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Jordan Hennessey, 23, of Colton for following too closely and operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday following a two-vehicle property damage accident on Clarkson Avenue



BENCH WARRANTS - POTSDAM - The Potsdam Police Department received village of Potsdam Court bench warrants on the following subjects for failure to pay fines and surcharges:

Jeremy S. Clough, 24, of Potsdam.

Reidel Coulson, 33, of Potsdam.

Matthew D. Donaldson, 26, of Potsdam.

Kenneth J. French, 46, of Potsdam.

Melissa L. Locy, age 40, of Canton.

Bradey M. Malone, 19, of Potsdam.

Michael J. Nichols Jr., 21, of North Bangor.

ARREST WARRANTS - POTSDAM - The Potsdam Police Department received village of Potsdam Court arrest warrants on the following subjects for failure to appear:

■ Andre F. Dean, 27, of Schenectady.

■ Matthew D. McDonald,23, of Edwards.

0735 Patrol issued a handicapped parking permit.

0909 Potsdam Police Department fielded a complaint from a subject who reports losing three tires from the cargo compartment of his vehicle Nov. 27, shortly after noon. Two of the tires are described as Wrangler ATS 265-70/17 and a third as a Pacemark studded snow tire 245-70/17. Anyone locating the described property is asked to contact the police department at 265-2121.

0912 Patrol executed a bench warrant on Nicholas J. Pacyna of Queensbury at the village of Potsdam Court.

1045 Patrol executed a bench warrant on Nichole Harmer of Potsdam at the village of Potsdam Police Department, where she had presented herself.

1100 Patrols dispatched to a business on Elm Street for the report of suspects trespassing on the premises. No arrest made.

1130 Patrol issued a handicapped parking placard.

1255 Patrol completed a vehicle equipment inspection.



1337 Patrol dispatched to a two vehicle property damage accident on Clarkson Avenue. Jordan Hennessey of Colton, age 23, was subsequently found at fault for the collision and issued traffic tickets for violations of VTL1129A: Following Too Close and VTL306B: Uninspected Motor Vehicle, both returnable to the Village of Potsdam Court on 12/12/2012 at 8:00 AM.



1340 Patrols dispatched to a burglar alarm activation for a business on Sisson Street. Upon the arrival of patrols, it was determined that the alarm had activated in error.

1343 Patrol dispatched to a two car property damage accident on Cottage Street near Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Patrol responded to investigation once clear from the burglar alarm activation.

1350 Potsdam Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on Maple Street for a fire alarm activation. Patrols advised; unable to respond. Potsdam Fire reports the activation appears to be a malfunction of the residence’s auto-dialer system.

1353 Received the report of a German Shepherd running loose on Market Street in the vicinity of Grove Street. Once clear from one of the aforementioned property damage accidents, an officer responded, but was unable to locate the animal.

1420 Received a bad check complaint. Forwarded to patrol.

1640 Patrol issued a handicapped parking permit.

1724 Potsdam Rescue Squad was dispatched to a residence on Lawrence Avenue for a patient experiencing difficulty breathing.

2022 Completed a record check request from Canton Police Department for a pistol permit applicant.

2101 Traffic stop on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.

2212 Traffic stop on Sandstone Drive. Verbal warning issued.

2223 Traffic stop on Pierrepont Avenue. Verbal warning issued.
