State police allege that while a Black River man was staying overnight in a woman’s home on Perrigo Road, he drove away in the hostess’s 2001 Plymouth Voyager.

The vehicle was found abandoned Thursday afternoon at the Great Bend fire hall, where it had run out of gas.

Michael J. Beach, 19, of 31328 Burnup Road, was charged Thursday with unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving without a license and operating an uninspected vehicle. He is summoned to appear in town of Rutland Court.

The van is owned by Donna Cross, 23584 Perrigo Road, police said.
