MORRISTOWN - Area artists will host a Christmas show and double open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The first showcase, located at 200 Gouverneur St., will feature Debra Monteiths braided copper wire, recycled aluminum, painted license plates and jewelry from recyclable and eco-friendly materials, including wood, river glass, copper roofing, and lava from her recent trip to Iceland.
Carver Jack Taylor will also have work on display, including hand-carved healing birds, roosters from twigs and other wood carvings.
Ten percent of Ms. Monteiths profits that day will be donated to Childrens Home of Jefferson County.
Mares Wares Pottery will hold an open house at the shop, 3938 Route 37. Work from at least 15 different artists will be on display.
