Honored: Work from local artists is featured in the Jefferson and St. Lawrence County offices of State Senator Patty Ritchie. Both are pictured below.

A photograph by Justin Fishel Ogdensburg, is featured in Mrs. Ritchie’s office on Ford Street, Ogdensburg. Mr. Fishel shoots high definition photos of St. Lawrence County landmarks.

A painting byMarie (Ree) Ingalsbe, Watertown, is featured in Mrs. Ritchie’s office on Washington Street, Watertown. Ms. Ingalsbe, an artist in her 90s, has created more than 100 original pieces of art. The local art, available for viewing during office hours, was part of an initiative started in March, and has featured more than 12 artists to date. To participate in the program, contact Mrs. Ritchie’s office at 782-3418.

Scholarship: Andre M. Lynch, Canton, formerly of Long Island, recently received a $1,500 scholarship from the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association. Mr. Lynch, a senior law enforcement leadership major at SUNY Canton, is a student assistant in the college’s registrar’s office.
