CANTON — The funeral for former Rep. David O’Brien Martin is set for 11 a.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Douglas J. Lucia officiating.

Mr. Martin, 68, a Canton native who served the region in Congress from 1981 to 1993, died Nov. 20 at his home in Hedgesville, W.Va. He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Family members have requested the service not be open to the media.
