Pictured here are Matt Curatolo (L), Ogdensburg Recreation Department; Karen Bage, Director, Creating Healthy Places; Leigh Stark, MVP Sports; and Jeff Woods, Parishville Recreation Department. Over the past two years, the Health Initiatives Creating Healthy Places St. Lawrence County Project, a grant funded by the New York State Department of Health, has awarded rental ice skates to eleven ice rinks and arenas across the county. Those locations are: Potsdams Pine Street Arena, Cantons Pavilion, Norfolks Dominic Zappia Community Center, Brashers Tri-Town Arena, Waddingtons Donald Martin Civic Center, and Ogdensburgs Lockwood Arena; and seasonal outdoor ice rinks in South Colton, Heuvelton, Madrid, Gouverneur, and Parishville.
