CANTON — A village resident was arrested Wednesday following a telephone dispute with a former girlfriend, St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said.

Reggie A. Clifford, 27, of 52 Law Lane, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. He is accused of violating an order of protection by having contact with the woman, whose name was not released by deputies.

Mr. Clifford was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released to the supervision of probation.
