A Syracuse man was fined Tuesday in Ogdensburg City Court for public urination and exposure a few yards from police headquarters.

Margus McElroy, 45, was pleaded guilty as charged and was fined $75 for public urination and $100 for exposure of a person.

It happened Tuesday at 11:40 a.m. Mr. McElroy stood on the curb in the 1200 block of Lafayette Street between Ogdensburg police headquarters and the Belmont Courts housing complex.

A police report said crossing the street, he stopped to urinate and then finished when he reached the other side of the street.

In other cases before Judge William R. Small on Tuesday:

Margaret M. Skelly, 23, of 4669 Route 68, Ogdensburg, was sentenced to four months in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, for violation of a three-year probation stemming from an August 2011 guilty plea to a charge of resisting arrest.

Eric R. Saunders, 35, of Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct to satisfy July 27 charges of resisting arrest and exposure of a person. He allegedly exposed his buttocks and genitals when he lowered a pair of mesh shorts he was wearing.

Mr. Saunders was granted a one-year conditional discharge, ordered to perform 24 hours of community service and fined and surcharged a total of $220.
