CANTON Allison Cady paced the Saints with 14 points as St. Lawrence University rallied to beat Hartwick, 58-51, in a nonconference womens basketball game on Friday night.
Kelly Legg came off the bench to score 12 points for St. Lawrence (3-3).
Maria Foglia was the games high scorer with 18 points for Hartwick (6-2), coached by former Malone standout Missy West.
BUFFALO ST. 68, SUNY POTSDAM 56
Shay Jackson went 8-of-9 from the field and scored 16 points as the Bengals earned a SUNYAC conference win in Potsdam. Bianca Smiley had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Buffalo St. (3-3, 1-2).
Bailey Weigel contributed 14 points and nine rebounds for SUNY Potsdam (1-7, 0-3).
MENS HOCKEY
SOUTHERN MAINE 7, SUNY POTSDAM 3
Troy Thibodeau notched a hat trick as the Huskies earned a nonconference win over the Bears in Portland, Maine.
Ryan Seward handed out four assists for Southern Maine (5-5). Jake Rivera, Billy Pascalli and Ryan Miller had goals for SUNY Potsdam (4-7).
SUNY CANTON 1, RHODE ISLAND (CLUB) 0
Nils Semjonovs scored a power-play goal in the first period to lift the Kangaroos past the Rams in Canton. Morgan Barr stopped 26 shots for the shutout for SUNY Canton (5-10).
WOMENS HOCKEY
ST. LAWRENCE 3, PENN STATE 1
Jenna Marks scored a goal and added an assist as the Saints beat the Nittany Lions for a nonconference win in Canton.
Giulia Mazzocchi made 15 stops for St. Lawrence (9-7-1). Jill Holdcroft netted a power-play goal for Penn State (5-11-1).
SUNY POTSDAM 2, ST. MICHAELS 2 (OT)
Izzy Fayerman tied the game with three minutes, 11 second left in regulation as the Bears salvaged a nonconference tie with the Purple Knights at Cheel Arena in Potsdam.
Alexandra Holowka scored her first goal of the year for SUNY Potsdam (2-8-1) in the second period. Caitie Shea and Allison Graf scored for St. Michaels (1-7-1).
MENS BAKSETBALL
BUFFALO STATE 85, SUNY POTSDAM 84
Anyar Majaks offensive rebound and put-back with three seconds left gave visiting Bengals a SUNYAC conference win over the Bears in Potsdam.
Roderick Epps (Uniondale/Uniondale) paced the Buffalo State (5-1, 3-0) offense with 22 points. SUNY Potsdam fell to 2-5, 0-3.
