Loni L. Thompson, 26, of 392 County Route 7, Hammond, was accused Sunday night of stealing items selling for a total of $695.85 at Walmart Supercenter, outer Arsenal Street, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said she also claimed her name to be Melissa Davies while being questioned in the theft. A prescription container in her purse revealed her actual name, according to the sheriff’s office.

She is charged with petit larceny and false personation, and is summoned to appear in Watertown Town Court.
