C-P girls turn back P-H for NAC East win

COLTON - The Colton-Pierrepont varsity girls basketball team relayed a 12-4 halftime lead into a 21-15 NAC East Division win at home over Parishville-Hopkinton on Monday.

Morgan Doyle and Autumn Clark netted six points apiece to anchor the winning offense with Doyle also logging eight rebounds, one steal and one assist. Andrea Aldous added four points while Kylie McKinley (5 rebounds, 5 steals) and Hailey Hennessy each added two points and Eve Whalen one.

Caitlin McGregor paced P-H with six points followed by Nicole White with five. Jenna Converse and Brianna Hayes contributed two points each.

In NAC interdivisional girls basketball matchups on Monday, OFA posted a 62-32 dccision over Norwood-Norfolk and Franklin Academy outscored Brushton-Moira 44-34 while the lone other East Division contest saw Chateaugay overwhelm St. Regis Falls 46-6.

OFA 62, N-N 32: In Norfolk, the visiting Lady Blue Devils worked their way to a 27-7 lead by the end of the first quarter en route to raising their overall record to 2-1.

Carlea Weaver led N-N with 13 points followed by Cadence Hunkins with eight and Katie Ames with seven. Breanna Deshane and Desiree Palmer closed out the Lady Flyer scoresheet with two points each.

Felica Barr and Susie Morrow tossed through 16 points apiece in the winning effort. Courtney Sherwin added nine followed by Riley Luckey with seven and Meg Dodge with six.

FA 44, B-M 34: At Brushton, the visiting Lady Huskies built a 36-21 lead through three quarters and made it stand for the win.

Morgan Fountain led all scorers with 12 points for FA followed by Rachel Lamica with nine.

Alex Trickey paced the Lady Panthers with eight points.

Chateaugay 46, SRF 6: At Chteaugay, the Lady Bulldogs tallied 13 unanswered points in the first quarter and never looked back led by Hannah Cook with 10 points. Courtney Boyea and Caitlin Miller added nine points each.

Brittany Rondeau scored four points in the losing effort. Kiana Stowell netted the other two.
