A Watertown man was accused Friday evening of violating a court order with which he was served earlier in the day.

City police charged David A. Gough Jr., 42, of 137 Central St., Apt. 2, with second-degree criminal contempt, answerable in City Court.

Police said he contacted Margaret C. Pickard, Watertown, by telephone, violating a stay-away order of protection issued in Jefferson County Family Court.
