LAFARGEVILLE — State police on Saturday charged Jock A. Symonds, 28, Dog Hill Road, with petit larceny.

Mr. Symonds was accused of recently stealing an unspecified amount of steel from a neighboring residence. He is to appear in Orleans Town Court.
