Jefferson County Sheriff John P. Burns last week thanked all who supported the Dec. 8 “Shop with a Cop” program for children.

He listed sponsors as P.J. Simao with Ives Hill Country Club; Walmart Supercenter, outer Arsenal Street; Sam’s Club; Watertown PBA; Waite Toyota; Dionne-Rumble Auxiliary Post 7227; Bernardo’s Pizzeria; Coca-Cola of Watertown; Marks Graphics; Party Rentals; Newzjunky; and AVL Signs & Graphic.

Participating agencies were police departments in Adams, Alexandria Bay, Carthage, Fort Drum, Watertown and West Carthage; the Black River/St. Lawrence Valley Police Academy recruits; Fort Drum military police; Jefferson County Emergency Management, Probation and Sheriff’s departments; Life- Net; the state Department of Environmental Conservation; state troopers, and the Watertown Fire Department.
