Doolittle’s 19 points guide Red Knights, 74-40

BELLEVILLE — Eric Doolittle scored 19 points, dished out six assists and had five steals to lead LaFargeville to a 74-40 win over host Belleville Henderson on Tuesday as the Red Knights’ earned their first Frontier League “D” Division boys basketball win of the season.

Tavis Anderson and Skyler Weston each added 11 points, and Matt Strader and Tim Cramer contributed 10 apiece as LaFargeville (1-4) raced to a 36-16 halftime lead.

Mathieu Corron paced the Panthers (1-4) with 13 points.

COPENHAGEN 44, ALEXANDRIA 31

Antonio Figueroa recorded a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, to spark the Golden Knights to the “D” Division victory at Copenhagen.

Figueroa also had six steals for Copenhagen (3-2).

Zach Heschke led the Purple Ghosts (1-4) with 16 points.

SOUTH LEWIS 55, LOWVILLE 49

Jason Martin powered the Falcons to their first win of the year with 22 points in a “C” Division game at Lowville.

Shawn Loomis added 17 points for South Lewis (1-4).

Kyle Malik led all scorers with 25 points for Lowville (1-2).

A-P-W 53, SANDY CREEK 37

Sage Bartlett hit four 3-point field goals, finishing with 16 points, to lead the Rebels past the Comets in a crossover game at Parish.

Ben Butler added 11 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (3-2).

Zachary Halsey led Sandy Creek (1-3) with 13 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

INDIAN RIVER 47, IHC 33

Sarah Mattingly finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and six steals to help the Warriors to an “A” Division victory at Philadelphia.

Paige Fayette chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and four steals. Kammikia Barnes supplied 11 points, and Katie Brierton grabbed eight rebounds for Indian River (4-0).

Anna Garrabrant scored a game-high 12 points for Immaculate Heart Central (0-4).

SOUTH LEWIS 34, LOWVILLE 25

The Falcons raced out to a 13-point lead at the end of the first quarter and held off the Red Raiders for a “C” Division win in Turin.

Rachel Newell led South Lewis (4-1) with 10 points and seven steals.

Anna Platz was the game’s high-scorer with 13 points for Lowville (1-2).

A-P-W 47, SANDY CREEK 24

Erin Stever finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the Rebels to a crossover victory over the Comets at Sandy Creek.

Kylee Bartlett added 12 points for A-P-W (2-3).

MyKayla Howlett scored 12 points to lead Sandy Creek (0-4).

SACKETS HARBOR 50, LYME 32

Joan Cuddeback put up 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help power the Patriots to a “D” Division victory over the Indians at Sackets Harbor.

Caitlyn Graves provided 11 points and nine rebounds, and Emily Schultes grabbed eight rebounds for Sackets Harbor (3-1).

Yanna Ososkalo scored 11 points, and Mikayla Warren added 10 points for Lyme (0-4).

OFA 47, CARTHAGE 45

Riley Luckie connected for 20 points, including five 3-pointers, to spark the Blue Devils to a nonleague victory at Carthage.

Meg Dodge and Felicia Barr added 10 points apiece for Ogdensburg Free Academy (3-1).

Zakiya Saunders hauled in 10 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and five blocks, while Kayla Gonzalez scored 11 points for Carthage (1-3).
