HIT BY CAR - MASSENA - Village police ticketed both the driver and pedestrian involved in a car, pedestrian accident at approximately 1:55 p.m. Thursday. Sue Chapman, 55, of 16 Laurel Avenue was ticketed for unsafe backing, as she was backing out of her driveway when the accident occurred. The pedestiran, Thomas Prashaw, 32, of 9 Laurel Avenue was also ticketed as he was walking in the road at the time of the accident. Prashaw was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of what were believed to be minor injuries.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MASSENA - Village police charged Michelle L. Lawrence, 37, of 20 Hospital Drive, Massena, with disorderly conduct during a domestic dispute at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police said during their investigation Ms. Lawrence refused to calm down and continued to yell obscenities despite several requests to alter her behavior.

UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jesse R. Moerlins, 17, of Massena for unsafe backing and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 7:50 a.m. Thursday following a property damage accident at Massena Central High School. Moerlins struck a vehicle operated by Ginelle Gardner, police said.

INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Steven A. Martin, 41, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Main Street.

RED LIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Calvin J. Maxfield, 33, of Small Road, Massena, for illegally passing a red light at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop near Main and Hatfield streets.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Anne M. Ireland, 60, of Essex Drive, Vt., for speed in zone at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on the South Raquette River Road.

UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Michael J. Summers, 26, of Massena for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on Main Street.
