A city woman who is a convicted felon was in Watertown police custody Friday morning for allegedly threatening a man at knifepoint and hitting him on the head with a liquor bottle.

The couple’s domestic fight was a reversal of another disturbance a week earlier, in which the man was the arrested party.

Heather L. Chamberlain, 35, of 905 Academy St., awaited arraignment in City Court on charges of second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. The assault and weapon counts are felonies.

Police said Ms. Chamberlain is accused of holding a kitchen knife to Brian R. Swank’s chest shortly before 4:30 a.m. Friday, threatening to kill him, and hitting him on the back of the head with the bottle.

The weapon count is a felony because she was convicted of felony criminal contempt in 2011, for which she is serving a sentence of five years’ probation.

Mr. Swank, 29, same address, was the alleged aggressor against Ms. Chamberlain and another woman early Dec. 15, for which he faces charges.
