LOWVILLE — Lewis County Sheriff Michael P. Carpinelli expressed his appreciation Sunday for all participants who made the county’s Shop with a Cop program on Dec. 15 a success for 25 children.

Representatives of various law enforcement agencies, volunteer fire departments and the Lewis County Search and Rescue team escorted the children to Walmart Super Center to shop and then to the Lowville Fire Department to feast on pizza donated by Vinney’s Pizzeria.

The sheriff listed 17 businesses and associations as well as donations from individuals that made the program possible.
