Ethel L. Mortellaro Kellner,88, of Skyline Apartments, Watertown, passed away Friday December 28, 2012 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Ethel was born December 24, 1924 in Central Islip, Long Island, a daughter of Halsted B. and Mable M. Howes Barber. She attended schools in Brooklyn. She married Benny Mortellaro November 22, 1947, the marriage ended in divorce. Leland Kellner was her long time companion until his death on September 24, 1994. . Ethel enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo and playing cards with friends and family. She most enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are, three sons and a daughter in law, Anthony F. and Sally Mortellaro, Adams Center, LeLand K. Kellner, Adams, Carlisle W. Kellner, Clarksville, TN, three daughters and two sons in law, Diane and Mark Roshia, Theresa, Glena Tyska, Watertown, Ruth and Arthur Miney, Toney, AL., a sister and her husband Joan Marie and Ernest Dozier, Joelton, TN., eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by several siblings.

Calling hours will be 4 from 7 pm Tuesday at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Leon Schilling. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery in the spring. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
