GOUVERNEUR A 14-year-old boy allegedly stole two handguns, $800 in cash and more than 90 OxyContin tablets from a home on County Route 12 on Dec. 21.
The boy, whose name was withheld because of his age, was arrested by state police at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, the latest and likely last in a string of arrests of suspects related to the crime, according to state police.
He was issued an appearance ticket.
The following people were arrested earlier on charges related to the incident:
■ Jeannette M. Lashbrooks, 44, was charged Dec. 26 with fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony, and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class D felony. Ms. Lashbrooks was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and committed to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
■ Anthony M. Montoya, 21, was Dec. 26 charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm and making a false written statement, a class A misdemeanor. Mr. Montoya was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and committed to the jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
■ Jayda L. Jones, 16, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm and issued an appearance ticket.
■ A 15-year-old girl was charged Dec. 26 with fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm and making a false written statement and was issued an appearance ticket.
■ Robert B. Norton, 17, of Gouverneur, was charged Dec. 27 with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and issued an appearance ticket.
