NORFOLK Same store, same suspect, same alleged crime.
A Norfolk woman was arrested by state police twice after she allegedly shoplifted from Al Smiths Superette, 4 S. Main St., on Dec. 29 and again on Tuesday.
Sasha S. Monroe, 26, of 841 County Route 38, initially was charged with one count of petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, after attempting to steal items from the store on the afternoon of Dec. 29, state police said.
Ms. Monroe was informed by store staff that she was not welcome to return, troopers said. Three days later, however, she allegedly went back to the market and tried to leave without paying for two bottles of soda.
The second incident earned her a second petit-larceny charge, as well as one count of third-degree criminal trespassing, a class B misdemeanor.
She is scheduled to answer the charges in Norfolk Town Court.
