MASSENA — An Ontario woman allegedly tried to cross into the United States with marijuana in her possession Wednesday afternoon.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies said they charged Karina M. White, 20, of Cornwall Island, with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, after customs agents found a small quantity of the drug in her vehicle during a search at the Massena port of entry.

Ms. White is to appear in Massena Town Court later this month to answer the charge.
