CARTHAGE — Freshman Lexi Smith scored 27 points, including a career-high eight 3-point field goals, as the Carthage girls basketball team routed General Brown, 68-24, in a Frontier League crossover game on Thursday night.

Zakiya Saunders supplied 12 points, 12 assists and five steals for the Comets (6-4, 5-2).

Katie Pitkin paced the Lions (4-5, 4-4) with seven points.

IHC 42, A-P-W 39

Freshman Olivia Miles scored 10 points to go with 10 rebounds, four steals and four assists as the Cavaliers hit their free throws down the stretch to earn their first league win of the season.

Rebecca Lazore added nine points and Jaid Baytos grabbed nine rebounds for Immaculate Heart (2-8, 1-5), which went 4-for-5 at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

Kylee Bartlett scored 15 points to lead Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (4-6, 3-6), which hit just four of 12 free throws in the fourth, and 10 of 26 overall.

BEAVER RIVER 49, ALEXANDRIA 46 (OT)

Kristen Campeau scored 14 points as the Beavers outlasted the Purple Ghosts in overtime in a crossover game at Alexandria Bay.

Abby Cornell contributed 12 points along with nine rebounds and six blocked shots for Beaver River (1-7).

Dallas Briot added 11 points for the Beavers.

Lorraine Beard led all scorers with 16 points for Alexandria (4-3, 5-4).

Rachael Calhoun added 14 points for the Purple Ghosts.

THOUSAND ISLANDS 44, SACKETS HARBOR 14

Kristin McGraw poured in 18 points as the Vikings downed the Patriots in a matchup of division leaders in crossover play at Sackets Harbor.

Allie Barton supplied eight points and nine rebounds for Thousand Islands (8-1, 7-1).

Sackets Harbor fell to 5-3.

SOUTH LEWIS 39, LAFARGEVILLE 25

Rachel Newell led all scorers with 11 points as the Falcons defeated the Red Knights in a crossover game.

Tori Hanno scored 10 points and hauled in 10 rebounds for South Lewis (6-3, 6-2).

Krysti Brow scored 10 points to pace LaFargeville (2-6, 1-5).

HEUVELTON 43, HARRISVILLE 25

Logan Tallman scored 13 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, to pace the Bulldogs to an NAC West victory in Harrisville.

Ashlyn Piercey and Kylie Piercey (five rebounds) each scored six points for Heuvelton (7-1, 5-1).

Kathleen Coloney scored 13 points and totaled eight rebounds for Harrisville, and Chelsea Pierce grabbed nine rebounds.

HERMON-DEKALB 55, LISBON 35

Bridget Rust poured in 23 points to pace the Demons (4-2, 3-3) to victory in an NAC West game in Lisbon.

Jackie Sovie scored 10 points to lead the Golden Knights (3-4, 2-3).

CANTON 58, ST. LAWRENCE 51

Tori Daley scored 12 points to lead a balanced effort as the Golden Bears won a nonleague game in Canton.

Lindsey Thayer scored a game-high 20 points for the Larries (3-5), and Breanna Vatter contributed 15 points.

CLIFTON-FINE 54, COPENHAGEN 41

Hunter Hitchman scored 22 points, including 10 free throws, to pace the Eagles to a nonleague victory in Copenhagen.

Hitchman added seven assists, four steals and two rebounds for Clifton-Fine (4-3), and Morgan Skeldon contributed 13 points, 18 rebounds and seven blocked shots.

Delaney Kerr added 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles.

Erica Eddy scored 15 points to lead the Golden Knights (5-3).

BOYS BASKETBALL

SOUTH JEFFERSON 62, INDIAN RIVER 57

Tom Bassett scored a game-high 28 points as the Spartans outlasted the Warriors in a crossover game to remain unbeaten in the Frontier League.

Jake Worden contributed 12 points for South Jefferson (9-0, 8-0), which outscored Indian River, 22-16, in the final quarter to secure the victory.

Malik Tillman scored 17 points to pace the Warriors (4-3, 4-3).

Shelton Williams scored 13 points and totaled eight rebounds and six assists for Indian River. Justin Mattingly added 11 points for the Warriors.

CARTHAGE 56, GENERAL BROWN 38

Peyton McLaurin led the Comets with 21 points as they beat the Lions in a crossover matchup in Dexter.

Ben Martin added 11 points and six rebounds for Carthage (7-1, 5-1).

Austin Giruzzi paced General Brown (1-9, 1-8) with nine points.

BEAVER RIVER 77, ALEXANDRIA 43

Sam Widrick had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Beavers routed the Purple Ghosts in crossover play at Beaver Falls.

Alex Hall chipped in with 21 points for Beaver River (9-1, 8-1).

Ian Kearns tallied 14 points for Alexandria (2-7, 1-7).

Nick Carusone hit a free throw to put the Rebels up three with 6.5 seconds left, and Jude Whalen missed the potential, game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Cavaliers in a crossover game at Parish.

Joe Carusone scored 22 points and Aaron Marshall added 17 for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (5-3).

Whalen finished with a game-high 32 points, and Jude Fusilli added 16 for Immaculate Heart (3-8, 2-5).

CLIFTON-FINE 42, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 28

Carl Provost scored 11 points to pace the Eagles to victory in an NAC game in Parishville.

Logan Hayes added nine points for Clifton-Fine (1-8).

Mike Burns scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Panthers (0-5).

MALONE 84, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 44

Nate Monette, Alex Johnson and Jon Dunlavey each scored 12 points to pace the Huskies to an NAC triumph in Brushton.

Mitchell Gallagher added 11 points for Malone (11-0).

Alex Burnett scored 14 points to lead the Panthers (3-3).
