POTSDAM Kara McDuffee scored 20 points and recorded six steals as the St. Lawrence womens basketball team routed SUNY Potsdam, 71-48, in a nonconference game on Friday night.
Allison Cady and Kelly Legg provided 16 points each for the Saints (6-3). Jessica Kouzan led the Bears (1-9) with 11 points.
Union 63, Clarkson 42: Kate Thompson registered 19 points and eight rebounds as the Dutchwomen spoiled the Golden Knights Liberty League opener in Schenectady.
Shayla Madden had 16 points for Union (7-3, 2-0).Ashley Loggins had a career-high 25 points for Clarkson (2-7, 0-1).
MENS BASKETBALL
SUNY Oswego 62, St. Lawrence 52: Hayden Ward scored 22 points as the Lakers held off the Saints for a nonconference win in Oswego.
Chris Gilkes accumulated 13 points for SUNY Oswego (8-1).
Brady Condlin had 14 points for St. Lawrence (2-6).
Union 87, Clarkson 81: Keven Donohue was a force inside with 26 points and 18 rebounds as the Dutchmen snapped the Golden Knights five-game winning streak in Liberty League play at Schenectady.
Terrell Winney also poured in 26 points for hot-shooting Union (10-1, 2-0). Clarkson fell to 8-2, 0-1.
