St. Lawrence County is inviting public comment on a multi-jurisdictional hazard-mitigation plan.

The plan will guide the county’s efforts to lessen the effects of natural disasters while making all participating jurisdictions eligible for federal hazard-mitigation funding.

The county is looking for input from colleges, fire services, law enforcement, industry, agriculture, utilities and others.

Public meetings will take place at 6 p.m. Jan. 14, Wanakena Ranger School; 6 p.m. Jan. 15, Gouverneur Volunteer Fire Department, and 6 p.m. Jan. 16, Potsdam village office.
