Eleanor R. Gardner, 94, formerly of LeRay Street, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Samaritan Keep Home where she had been a resident.

Miss Gardner was born February 26, 1918 in Potsdam a daughter of Fred and Florence LaRose Gardner. She moved to Watertown with her family when she was a child and attended local schools. Miss Gardner attended Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

Among her survivors are a niece by marriage, Ruth Gardner, of Watertown, three great nieces, Sandra and Michele Gardner, both of Watertown and Teri Gardner, Florida. A brother Lloyd Gardner, a sister Bernice Gardner and a nephew Paul Gardner died before her.

An hour of calling will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 beginning at 10 am at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Calvary Cemetery.
