Virginia Evelyn Edgar, 82, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 with family at her side. Virginia was a graduate of Gouverneur High School, worked for Bausch & Lomb in Rochester and she was a foster grandparent in Syracuse. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, a sister and a great grandson.

She is survived by a sister, Gloria Garnsey of Pompano Beach, FL; two daughters, Suzanne (Sue) Carlson and Patricia (Pattie) Moynihan; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be offered Monday 10 AM at Most Holy Rosary Church, Chapel, 111 Roberts Ave., Syracuse. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
