POTSDAM — A fourth-quarter comeback against undefeated Malone came up short for the Potsdam boys basketball team on Friday as the Huskies pulled out a 57-53 Northern Athletic Conference Central Division victory.

Mate Monette and Mitch Gallagher scored 12 points apiece to lead Malone (12-0 overall, 7-0 league).

Konnor Bigwarfe scored 17 points, while Shawn Clark and Will Coleman added 14 apiece for the Sandstoners (7-3, 3-3), who trailed by as much as 16 points in the second half.

CANTON 61, SALMON RIVER 41

Scott Wight and Evan LaPoint tossed through 14 points apiece as Canton used a 19-5 first-quarter advantage to gain a Central Division win.

Ed Bortnick and Nick Archibald chipped in 10 points each for Canton (5-5, 3-4).

Russ Oakes led Salmon River (1-9, 0-7) with 10 points.

ST. LAWRENCE 70, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 29

Zane Ramsdell led a balanced offense with 14 points for the Larries (4-5, 3-2) in an interdivision victory over the Panthers at Parishville.

St. Lawrence Central raced out to a 23-2 lead in the first quarter. Josh White added 13 points, followed by Jessi Greer with 10.

Tanner Wilson and Mike Burns anchored Parishville-Hopkinton (0-8, 0-6) with 10 points each.

BRUSHTON MOIRA 36, COLTON-PIERREPONT 27

Zach Burnett scored 13 points as the Panthers earned an interdivision victory in Brushton.

Loren Traynor added seven points for Brushton-Moira (5-4, 5-2).

Scott Boyce led the Colts (4-6, 2-4) with 13 points.

ST. REGIS FALLS 64, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 35

Caleb Green led the way with 21 points, followed by Brandon Votra with 18, for St. Regis Falls in an interdivision win.

The Saints broke the game open with a 20-6 third-quarter run and improved their record to 11-0, 6-0.

Dan Devine netted 15 points for Norwood-Norfolk (1-11, 1-7).

MORRISTOWN 48, HAMMOND 45

Dakota Marshall and Bobbie Simmons scored 13 points apiece to launch the Rockets (3-7, 2-6) to a West Division victory over the Red Devils at Morristown.

Darin Bresett generated 22 points for Hammond (3-7, 3-5).

EDWARDS-KNOX 47, HARRISVILLE 44

The Cougars used a 13-0 run in the third quarter to stay unbeaten with a West Division win at Harrisville.

Kaden Dandrow generated 16 points for Edwards-Knox (10-0, 8-0), while Tyler Tresidder added 14.

Nick Weir scored 16 points for Harrisville (9-3, 5-2).

HEUVELTON 64, HERMON-DEKALB 17

Chris Power delivered a game high 17 points as the host Bulldogs gained a West Division win over the Demons.

Cody Holland and Aaron Cobb added eight and seven points, respectively, for Heuvelton (9-3, 6-2).

Steve Gilbert scored six for Hermon-DeKalb (2-9, 2-6).

LISBON 66, CLIFTON-FINE 21

Jimmy Robinson scored 21 points as the Golden Knights picked up a West Division victory over the Eagles at Star Lake.

Adam Felt tallied 11 points for Lisbon (7-4, 5-3).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ST. LAWRENCE 61, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 31

Breanna Vatter tossed in six 3-pointers en route to a 20-point, three-rebound performance to lead the Larries over the Panthers in an interdivision game at Parishville.

Lindsay Thayer posted 12 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and four steals for St. Lawrence (6-5, 4-3).

Kodie Perkins scored eight for Parishville-Hopkinton (2-6, 1-6).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 46, CARTHAGE 31

Austin Stevens scored 14 points and hauled down 11 rebounds as the Spartans defeated the Comets in a Frontier League crossover game at Adams.

Brooke Vancoughnett recorded 10 points, five steals, five assists and four rebounds for South Jefferson (9-0).

Zakiya Saunders led Carthage (5-5, 4-3) with nine points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

INDIAN RIVER 43, APW 33

Paige Fayette posted 12 points as the Warriors defeated the Rebels in a crossover game at Philadelphia.

Emily Kuba recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds for Indian River (9-2, 7-1), while Lakeisha Barnes had eight points and nine steals.

Kylee Bartlett led all scorers with 15 points for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (5-7, 4-7).

THOUSAND ISLANDS 55, SOUTH LEWIS 24

Kristin McGraw poured in 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to help guide the Vikings to a “C” Division victory over the Falcons at Clayton.

Alesha Waterman added nine points for Thousand Islands (10-1, 9-1).

Olivia Fitzgerald scored eight points for South Lewis (7-5, 7-4).
