UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Jonathan R. Ladue, 33, of Lake Placid with unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 7:55 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on state Route 131 in the town of Massena. Troopers said during the traffic found they found Ladue was in possession of a dried green-brown vegetation containing leaves and stems that tested positive for marijuana. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of marijuana and simple unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was fined $50 and a $125 surcharge for the marijuana violation and $50 and an $85 surcharge for the traffic violation. His operating privileges had been suseonded on Nov. 23 for failure to pay child support.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Massena-based state police charged Jon L. Larue, 21, of Massena with petit larceny at 8:36 p.m. Sunday following an investigation into a shoplifting incident reported at 6:27 p.m. Sept. 26 from the town of Potsdam.



FAMILY COURT ACT - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged a 15-year-old male from Massena with a violation of the Family Court Act after responding to a complaint at 10:26 a.m. Sunday from the town of Norfolk. The teenager’s case will be turned over to the probation department to determine if he will be petitioned to family court.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CONNELLY’S CORNER - Massena-based state police investigated a property damage accident at 11:20 a.m. Sunday on Route 11, near the Desmond Road, in the town of Lawrence. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Justin J. Gibson, 25, of Potsdam.
