CANTON — Nominations are due Jan. 25 for St. Lawrence University’s 2013 North Country Citation.

The award is presented to a Northern New York resident who, through professional endeavor or personal example, contributes in special ways to improving the quality of life or fostering a sense of community in the region. Nominees should come from St. Lawrence, Lewis, Jefferson, Essex, Warren or Franklin counties. The citation will be awarded at the school’s May 19 commencement.
