Ogdensburg car vandal’s case to grand jury

The case of a Potsdam man accused of vandalizing several official Ogdensburg vehicles will go before a St. Lawrence County grand jury.

James R. Fisher Jr., 45, of 18 Flow Road, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in city court on Monday.

He was arrested Wednesday outside the Ogdensburg Police Department, 800 Park St., after allegedly damaging three police cars and a code enforcement staff car.

He was charged with felony third-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor third-degree criminal trespass, felony second-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor petit larceny, misdemeanor making graffiti and misdemeanor resisting arrest.

He was also ticketed for littering.

He is being held without bail at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton.

Mr. Fisher will be represented by the county’s Conflict Public Defender’s Office.
