The state Department of Environmental Conservation will hold three events at Camp Santanoni over the next two months, with the first scheduled for Saturday through Monday. Cross-country skiers and snowshoers will have access to the historic camp properties located in the town of Newcomb in Essex County to rest and view interpretative displays at its Gate Lodge and Main Lodge.
The weekend events are also scheduled for Feb. 16-18 and March 16-17. Other hosts for the events include Adirondack Architectural Heritage organization, the town of Newcomb and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestrys Adirondack Interpretive Center.
