TURIN — The South Lewis Central School District Board of Education unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday evening to reinstate suspended music teacher Arthur J. McCall.

The board, according to the resolution, “does hereby terminate the paid administrative leave and reinstates Arthur McCall to active duty effective Monday, January 28, 2013.”

In September, Mr. McCall, 45, was placed on administrative leave with pay following allegations of the forcible touching of two males, Jarrod A. Hurley, 26, and Douglas M. Tuttle, 17, at his home at 5326 Dayan St., Lowville.

The case was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal Dec. 11, despite the objection of Mr. Tuttle.

Although records have been sealed on the case, the district attorney’s office said there has been no activity since the December adjournment in contemplation of dismissal and the case would be placed on the court calendar at the court’s discretion.
