OGDENSBURG The Ogdensburg Free Academy boys basketball team used a strong start to hand Malone its first loss of the season with an 82-49 victory in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game Tuesday night.
OFA (10-1 overall, 6-1 division) avenged a 57-48 defeat to the Huskies on Dec. 7 by outscoring Malone 31-11 in the first quarter and building a 52-16 lead by halftime.
Breton LaRose led OFA with 30 points. Matt Piercey scored 17 points, Pat Cosmo scored 14 and Kinnon LaRose added 11.
Nate Monette scored 10 points for Malone (12-1, 7-1).
MASSENA 76, CANTON 40
Zack Rusaw tallied 19 points as the Red Raiders (7-5, 4-2) won a Central Division game in Massena. Logan Deshane added 13 points for Massena.
Evan LaPoint led Canton (4-7, 3-5) with 10 points.
GOUVERNEUR 58, SALMON RIVER 47
Mark Horne produced 18 points as the Wildcats (3-8, 2-5) earned a Central Division victory in Fort Covington.
Curt LaPlante scored 11 points and Anthony Way added 10 for Gouverneur. Josh Hynes paced the Shamrocks (1-10, 0-8) with 20 points.
ST. LAWRENCE 72, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 44
Zane Ramsdell scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added six assists and five steals to lead the Larries (6-6, 3-2) past the Flyers in a North Division game in Brasher Falls.
Cody Meacham added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Tyler Savage added 12 points for the Larries. Dan Devine led the Flyers (1-12, 0-6) with 18 points.
MADRID-WADDINGTON 39, COLTON-PIERREPONT 22
The Yellow Jackets went on a 14-5 run in the third quarter to pull away from the Colts (5-6, 3-4) in an interdivision game in Madrid. Greg Thompson scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds for Madrid-Waddington (7-4).
BRUSHTON-MOIRA 67, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 32
Brushton-Moira (6-5) built a 23-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and went on to defeat Parishville-Hopkinton in an interdivision game in Brushton.
Adam Martin led Brushton-Moira with 13 points, and Alex Burnett and Justin Lavarnway each scored 12 points.
Ryan Snyder led Parishville-Hopkinton (0-9, 0-8) with 12 points.
EDWARDS-KNOX 53, LISBON 42
Chris Davison scored 17 points to help the Cougars (11-0, 9-0) remain unbeaten with a West Division win in Russell.
Kaden Dandrow scored 16 points and Jesse Bullock added 10 for Edwards-Knox. Adam Felt led Lisbon (7-5, 5-4) with 19 points and Jimmy Robinson tossed in 15.
HARRISVILLE 56, HEUVELTON 54
Nate Weaver made a layup at the buzzer to give the Pirates (9-3, 6-2) a win over Heuvelton in a West Division game in Harrisville.
Jared Dreythaler passed the ball the length of the court to set up the winning basket. Joey Butts led Harrisville with 18 points and Nick Weir scored 16.
Dedrick Johnson scored 16 to lead the Bulldogs (8-4, 6-3). Cody Holland scored 14 and Chris Power added 13.
MORRISTOWN 61, HERMON-DEKALB 31
Devin Dulmage scored 24 points as Morristown (4-7, 3-6) defeated Hermon-DeKalb in a West Division game in DeKalb Junction. Bobby Simmons added 22 points for Morristown with Dakota Marshall tallying 12.
Zach Robinson scored eight points for Hermon-Dekalb (2-10, 2-7).
HAMMOND 65, CLIFTON-FINE 20
Brock Tulley led the Red Devils with 18 points in a West Division victory over the Eagles (1-11, 0-8) in Hammond.
Nolan Martin scored 17 points for Hammond (4-7, 4-5) and Ryan Proven added 10.
ST. LAWRENCE 55, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 33
Breanna Vatter led the Larries (8-5, 4-2) with 15 points in a North Division win over the Flyers in Brasher Falls.
Sam Richards scored 13 points and Lindsay Thayer added 10 for the Larries. Carlie Weaver led Norwood-Norfolk (2-9, 0-5) with nine points.
CHATEAUGAY 72, ST. REGIS FALLS 12
Makayla Fleury and Abby Barnes both scored 18 points as Chateaugay crushed St. Regis Falls (2-7, 1-6) in an East Division game in St. Regis Falls.
Courtney Boyea scored 15 points and Katie Beach added 10 for the Bulldogs (7-1, 6-0).
MASSENA 75, CLIFTON-FINE 6
The Red Raiders recorded six pins in a victory at Star Lake.
Austin Amo (126 pounds), Landon Laughlin (138), Isaiah Perry (145), Hunter Perrine (160), Nolan Terrance (285) and Konner German (120) won by pin for Massena (9-3, 4-2).
Vincent Dowling (170) won by pin for the Eagles (0-8, 0-5).
