Ogdensburg police are investigating the death Tuesday of a 25-year-old city man.

Terry M. Vinch, of 609 Paterson St., was pronounced dead at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, according to Ogdensburg police Detective David M. Layng.

Mr. Layng said Thursday that an autopsy was performed Tuesday at the hospital by pathologist Dr. Samuel Livingstone.

The results, he said, are pending and he declined to comment on the cause of death.

Police, city fire department first responders and the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad were called Tuesday at 9:33 a.m. to Mr. Vinch’s home for what was initially reported to police as an “unresponsive male” call.
