The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties. Sustained winds of at least 40 miles per hour and gusts of 58 miles per hour will persist until the warning ends at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Felled trees and downed power lines are to be expected, according to the warning.
