Funeral services for Marion H. Milsap, age 81 of Hammond, will be held on Thursday (Jan 24, 2013) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Nichols officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammond.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Milsap passed away on Sunday (Jan 20, 2013) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Surviving is her son Max Milsap and his wife Nicole; two daughters Marty Barney & her husband Vernon and Judy McDermott all of Hammond; two brothers Edward Hollister & his wife Rita of Brier Hill & Robert Hollister & his wife Janie of Hammond; two sisters Marguerite Marion of Florida and Barbara Hadlock of Hammond; grandchildren Douglas Barney & his wife Stacy, Michael Barney, Kristin Hammontree & her husband Wheeler, Bradley Barney & his wife Yvette, Jaime & Mindy McDermott, Scott Milsap & his companion Jocelyn Seavey, Eric Milsap & his wife Betsy and Lynn Sprabary & her husband Jason; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins. She was predeceased by her husband “Tuffy” on Dec 11, 2001.

Marion was born on November 30, 1931 in Brier Hill, NY a daughter of the late Ogle & Alice (Decker) Hollister. She graduated from Hammond Central School and married Edwin “Tuffy” L. Milsap on Sept 23, 1949. She worked for a period at the Kring Point State Park concession stand and later assisted “Tuffy” installing dairy equipment from 1979 to 1998 when the couple retired. She was a past member of the Willing Workers of Calabogie and the Ogdensburg Couples bowling league. She enjoyed her flower gardens and spending time with her grandchildren.
