Five St. Lawrence University athletes were named the top performer in their respective sports last week for the Liberty League on Monday.
Womens basketball player Kara McDuffee, mens squash player Amr Khaled Khalifa, mens diver Billy Moran, womens swimmer Sammi Moffitt, and mens indoor track-and-field runner Jake Fredericks each won honors as the top athlete of the week.
McDuffee, a sophomore, averaged 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds a game as St. Lawrence went 3-0 last week. She added 11 assists and 10 steals.
The Saints Alanna Blackburn was also named rookie of the week in womens swimming. SLUs Vinny Maniscalco and Ella Martin won mens and womens indoor rookie honors, respectively. Clarksons Ashley Loggins won rookie of the week honors in womens basketball.
Honor roll mentions went to Clarksons John Coleman (mens basketball), and SLUs Brady Condlin (mens basketball), Jason Dutra (mens swimming) and Carly Stine (womens indoor track).
