ASSAULT - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Kerstin M. Gardner, 19, of Massena, with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated and underage consumption of alcohol following an incident reported at 5:50 a.m. Sunday from the town of Fort Covington. She was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.

ID THEFT - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police Matthew J. Meuten, 24, of Ogdensburg with third-degree identity theft following an investigatiion into an incident reported to troopers at 10:0o2 a.m. Saturday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - BRASHER FALLS - Massena-based state police charged Darrick J. LaMay, 32, of Brasher Falls with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following an incident reported to troopers at 3:30 p.m. Sunday from the town of Brasher.

HARASSMENT - MADRID - Massena-based state police charged Gregory R. Boak, 51, of Norwood with second-degree harassment Sunday morning following an investigation reported to troopers Dec. 14 from the town of Madrid.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents Sunday and early Monday. Among those were:

■ Robert D. Perrault, 56, of Madrid at 11:27 p.m. Sunday on state Route 345, near Crosbie Road, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Brigitte E. Dillon, 38, of Potsdam at 12:20 a.m. Monday on Route 11, near the Wright Road, in the town of Potsdam.
